Tax Bill Payment Protocol

Protocol for processing payments is as follows

  • Tax bill transactions are processed according to the postmark date, if legible.
  • Funds are applied to interest first, then principal.
  • The Tax Collector does not have the authority to waive principal or interest due.
You may make payments by mail, online or drop them off in the drop box outside the town hall door. 

If you wish to receive a receipt, please include a self addressed, stamped envelope with your payment.
A reminder to those taxpayers who own more than one parcel or have land in current use, please send payment in for all parcels billed. You can combine balances due and submit one payment, just be sure to include the bill(s) with the parcel ID number(s) to insure proper posting to all accounts.
