Hancock Historic District Commission - Notice of Decision

The Hancock Historic District Commission met at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26th, at the Hancock Town Office and approved the following:

Request by Scott Manning to:

  • To remove existing 60 gallon propane tank used for cooking only from north east corner of house
  • Remove existing fence structure that blocks window from 18 Main Street
  • Add two 120-gallon propane tanks to east corner of house
  • Remove existing oil furnace plastic vent
  • Add propane vent ten feet north of tanks as per code (below street level)
  • Paint existing 1960’s vintage cinder block chimney to match house paint color
  • Remove pipes used to fill existing oil tank from east side of 20 Main Street garage and replace shingles. Tank will also be removed from garage basement.
